Following the centre’s theme, sea creatures, students from SOTA taught the children to make sea creatures through arts and crafts activities, and some taught them rhythmic beats!

SOTA (Year 3) BSCC

After several sessions with us, it was time for us to bid farewell to SOTA’s year 3 students. Their last activity, was having a paper plane competition with the Primary 1 & 2s, of which they are very enthusiastic about!

iCan Newsletter 2019 Issue 2

iCan Magazine was birthed in April 2006 to keep the community informed of our services and events, and to share articles that would enrich family lives. iCan is printed bi-annually from January to June and July to December. It is a free magazine and is distributed by church members and the volunteers to all residents living in this community.

SMU Kidleidoscope 2019

Yearly affair, SMU Kidleidoscope has partnered with us to deliver exciting activities with our children from our centres, with their signature tie-dye activity with us. On top of that, they taught our children to make dreamcatchers too!

Ngee Ann Polytechnic – Psychology Studies

The N1 group from BCDC were blessed by a group of students from NP’s psychology studies with games such as identifying the animals, puzzle fixing, and even making a Father’s Day card with them!

SMU – Project Shining Lights VIII

With fun and effortful station games brought by SMU OCIP Team: Project Shining Lights VIII – musical chairs, tic-tac-toe, and charades, the children from BSCC enjoyed themselves a whole lot!

Self-defense Muay Thai Lessons with Bethel Student Care

Known as the Art of the 8 limbs, two trainers from IMPACT Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) came down to BSCC and conducted a 5-day lesson with the students and taught them basic fighting skills which included a series of punches, kicks and knees.

NUS – Operation Ulysses

NUS Operation Ulysses, brought the students from BSCC to Marina Barrage on a journey to learn about the importance of water conservation.
